VOS ENTRAÎNEURS

Vincent Dunn – Attaquant

Vincent a été un choix de 5e ronde au repêchage de la LNH en 2013 avec les Sénateurs d’Ottawa, ainsi qu'un choix de 1ère ronde de la LHJMQ en 2011 avec les Foreurs de Val-d’or. Il a joué dans dans la LHJMQ pour les Foreurs de Val-d'or, les Olympiques de Gatineau en 2013 et l'Océanic de Rimouski en 2014-2015. Il a également œuvré dans la AHL avec les Sénateurs de Binghamton et les Sénateurs de Belleville. Il a aussi évolué dans la ECHL et en Europe. Il a enfin été récipiendaire d’une bourse étudiant-athlète Élite de la Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec en 2009-2010. Malgré un talent indéniable et une détermination hors du commun, les blessures le privent de toutes chances d'atteindre la LNH et mettent fin à sa carrière à l'âge de 23 ans.

Storm Phaneuf – Gardien

Storm Phaneuf a été un choix de 4e ronde de la LHJMQ en 2010 avec l’Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand. Il a également joué à Shawinigan en 2013 et Chicoutimi en 2014. Membre de Team Canada U16, il fût proclamé joueur de l’année, 3 Stars Award Winner, en plus d'être le Choix des fans, avec les Capitals de Cowichan Valley à 20 ans. Il a ensuite joué dans la ECHL et la SPHL aux États-Unis avant qu'une blessure majeure mette fin à sa saison à 23 ans.

Zakary Phaneuf – Entraîneur personnel certifié et consultant en développement mental

Zakary Phaneuf a toujours œuvré dans les niveaux élites du hockey, tout en démontrant un leadership exemplaire à tous les niveaux. Capitaine de l'équipe championne du prestigieux Tournoi national Pee-Wee de Québec à 12 ans, capitaine de l’Intrépide Midget Espoir à 15 ans, invité à Team Québec U16. Capitaine du Vert et Or de Trois-Rivières et joueur du match, au match des étoiles à 16 ans, il s'est taillé une place dès 17 ans au niveau Junior AAA pour les Flames de Gatineau! À seulement 21 ans il est entraîneur personnel certifié de l’École Ataraxia et consultant en développement mental pour l’Institut Proctor Gallagher. Il est aujourd'hui un entraîneur privé qui se préoccupe de la santé physique, mentale et émotionnelle des jeunes athlètes en utilisant des formations scientifiques appliquées et complètes, pour l'optimisation de leurs performances!

Before I go any further, 1. he’s just skating and that's okay. Two: yes, Demko is better than I ever was. 3. I make these videos not to critique NHL guys but to help young (and old) goalies learn. • Had to get that out of the way early because whenever I critique an NHL goalie I get a bunch of comments and messages telling me I’m jealous. • I actually could care less about which goalie I’m talking about. I don’t play goalie anymore. I train athletes, coach goalies and study to be a doctor of PT. • Anyways, when I find too many goalies either don’t know, or struggle to enter the RVH from a butterfly overlap. • To be fair, it is probably the hardest skating movement a goalie has to do. • Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done. It means you need to work on it until you can do it correctly. • There’s no taking shortcuts in this game if you want to play at a high level. • Listen to the video for the break down. Dahan Goaltending - Goalie Hockey School: Proper RVH Technique + LONGEST Goalie Face-Off - Ice Hockey Goalies | Dahan Goaltending (Ep 11)

Video Description

Learn how to properly seal the net when going into the Reverse Vertical-Horizontal (RVH). This technique is effective in two ways when done correctly. - First, it completely fills the short side of the net when the player is located below the face-off circle without compromising the chest. Its predecessor (VH) has the pads in a manner where the inner leg located on the post is vertical and therefore covers the chest, which can result in undesirable rebounds. - Secondly, it helps the athlete regain net awareness when scrambling with wide rebounds. The athlete can slide into the RVH and anchor themselves on the post before getting back onto their feet depending on the play.

We believe competition drives enthusiasm. Our "goalie face-off" is a simple but effective game that enables patience with soft focus. The goalie must actively seek the coach's hand and react when the puck drops without doing so too early or too late.
