Alex DeBrincat is staying in Detroit, signing a seven-year contract with a $13 million annual average value. The guys discuss the massive commitment, whether they're surprised DeBrincat chose to stay with the Red Wings, and what the deal means for Detroit's future.
They also look ahead at the biggest pending unrestricted free agents, including Nikita Kucherov, Jason Robertson, Jack Hughes, Sidney Crosby and Ryan O'Reilly.
The Tkachuk brothers put on a show, combining for nine points as Brady broke out with help from Matthew. The guys also discuss Connor Bedard's return to the Blackhawks lineup, whether Chicago can keep pace in the Central Division, and a heated exchange between Roope Hintz and Nathan MacKinnon.
Plus, Connor McDavid reaches Game 800 on the 11th anniversary of his first NHL goal, and the crew shares its thoughts on Devon Levi.
In net, the guys look at Darcy Kuemper getting pulled and whether the Los Angeles Kings should be concerned about their goaltending situation. They also examine Dallas' slow offensive start, with the Stars scoring just 13 goals through six games.
David Pagnotta joins the show to discuss Simon Edvinsson's return to North America and what it could mean, along with whether the Philadelphia Flyers have the appetite to make a major change.
