Summary
Become a DIEHARD! alldlls.com/join The Dallas Stars had one of those “burn the tape” performances on Tuesday night in a 5-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils at American Airlines Center. It was ugly and seemed to come out of nowhere, as the Stars were on a five-game winning streak before being humbled by the Devils. Dallas gets a chance to get right back to winning ways tonight as they host the Montréal Canadiens at the AAC (7 p.m. CT). Stars forward Sam Steel returns to the lineup after missing the last two games due to an undisclosed injury, but they lost defenseman Kyle Capobianco for at least four weeks with a knee injury. Trey Taylor was called up from the AHL’s Texas Stars and he will make his NHL debut tonight - forward Dylan Hyrckowian was sent down to the AHL yesterday to make room for Taylor’s call-up. Montréal lost captain Nick Suzuki to injury last Saturday, ending his iron man streak at 546 consecutive games to begin his NHL career. That hasn’t slowed down the Canadiens yet, as they won their third straight game on Tuesday at St. Louis and they are 6-1-1 (13 pts., 0.813) in their last eight games. On tonight’s DLLS Stars Pregame Show, we will discuss all the big storylines, we will take a look at the expected lineups and get you ready for puck drop at American Airlines Center. Expected starting goaltenders: Jake Oettinger (DAL) vs. Jakub Dobeš (MTL).
