Iiro Mäntylä took to the ice at TCS Live 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta, to demonstrate how coaches can develop a player’s ability to scan, process information, and make decisions under pressure. While these drills focused on defencemen, he provided practical examples of how to train these skills in all players. In this clip, he demonstrates an offensive zone exercise for defencemen that required players to scan their surroundings and make decisions based on where pressure was coming from.
