Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/nHM4g5BPUlk In Episode 356 of the Glass and Out Podcast, we welcome one of the most fascinating guests in the show history: NASCAR pit crew coach Shaun Peet. You may not be familiar with Peet, so let us introduce you. In addition to his role as a pit crew coach, his rsum includes stints as a professional hockey enforcer, a jackman on a NASCAR pit crew, and a keynote speaker for some of the world's top-performing companies. He's also the co-author of 12 Second Culture, alongside fellow pit crew coach Mike Metcalf. The title refers to the goal of getting a NASCAR car back on the track in just 12 seconds during a pit stop. Once you learn everything that happens in those 12 seconds, it will blow your mind. The principles in the book are rooted in Peet's lived experience and what he's seen work. He also provides a framework for understanding how people interact in team environments, giving coaches and leaders the language to identify key moments and interactions and intentionally build them into their own programs and cultures. You can check out the book here. Listen as Peet shares why the primary goal of every leader should be to inspire human brilliance, why failure isn't the monster under the bed, and why great leaders are always evolving.
