Episode Description
Summary
Connor McDavid has 34 points in 12 games, and only Gretzky, Lemieux and Bossy ever hit 30 points that early in a season. But the Edmonton Oilers are 26th in goals against, and the best player in the world is spending October bailing them out.
I break down nine clips from Edmonton's games against Carolina, Toronto and Detroit to show where the goals come from at both ends of the ice. The power play is close to unstoppable, the penalty kill is at 70.6%, and great defensive teams can already box out the big three. So here's the question for every fan base. Is your team built for October, or for June?
