Summary
Wild times get wilder as Dylan Larkin's trade list is expected to change and Nikita Kucherov wants out of Tampa Bay. This Detroit Red Wings podcast also covers Simon Edvinsson trade rumors and the Red Wings vs Blackhawks & Blues recaps, a 4-1 win and a 5-4 Halloween loss. (00:00) - Intro (04:00) - Larkin & Kucherov Trade Talk Elliotte Friedman's Saturday Headlines report says Dylan Larkin's list is expected to be altered within 24 to 48 hours. Plus, why we'd still rather swing for a top prospect than take Minnesota's reported package built around Danila Yurov and two to three first-round picks. Nikita Kucherov's trade request adds a wrinkle, and we weigh the three-team theory sending him to Montreal and Larkin to Tampa with Hage coming to Hockeytown. (22:45) - Edvinsson Rumors & Michael Misa Detroit's ask for Simon Edvinsson reportedly starts with Michael Misa - plausible, or insane? Plus, why a 23-year-old top-pair defenseman's certainty is worth so much, and why Tynan Lawrence has our attention. (34:10) - Blackhawks Win & Blues Collapse Viktor Arvidsson's hat trick powers the 4-1 win, and Moritz Seider's postgame statement is spoken like a true captain. Then Detroit blows a 4-2 lead in the third period of the Halloween matinee and loses 5-4, with John Gibson allowing five goals on 15 shots. (49:10) - Sandin-Pellikka to Grand Rapids Axel Sandin-Pellikka is sent to the Griffins after being scratched more often than not, and Jacob Bernard-Docker gets the call-up as the extra defenseman. Why some think ASP should have been playing in Detroit, why Ryan isn't writing him off, and the leaked Fanatics remix jerseys get a quick first reaction. (53:50) - Overtime Mailbag Patron questions on whether Simon Edvinsson's knee procedures shaped Detroit's evaluation and whether Larkin ever wavered after the "kissed and made up" comments. Plus, trading within the Atlantic and whether Michael Rasmussen has actually picked up his pace of play. --- WWP Night at the LCA dates announced!
