🔑 Key #1: Y Angle - Learn the art of ankle collapse, mimicking MacKinnon's low Y angle for optimal stride efficiency. Drills include the Ankle Collapse Walk, Ankle Rolls, and the Ankle Collapse Stride Auxiliary.

🔑 Key #2: Shin Angle - Distinguish knee bend from shin angle and build the feel of getting your knee forward. Practice with Shin Angle Drops and the MacKinnon Knee Forward Auxiliary.

🔑 Key #3: Heel To Toe Rocker - Explore how pressure moves along the blade rocker, emphasizing the Heel To Toe motion. Master the Moon Rock drill and integrate it into your stride with the Stutter Stride for an effective blend of control and speed.

In this video, I run through 10 stickhandling drills that hockey players can do from home without fancy equipment. These stickhandling drills can also be done in a small space - perfect for at home ! If you want to improve your stickhandling, I recommend practicing for 20 - 30 minutes at least twice a week at home, but ideally every day if you can.

In this video you'll find a couple of quick tips to help players become better at puck control.

By keeping the puck in a strong position, it makes you a much bigger threat to the defensive players as it really opens up the amount of options available to you. Having the puck in a strong position, and not over-handling it gives the chance for split second decisions and reactions based on the actions of the defenders. It allows you to quickly pass, dump or chip a puck, or shoot, whatever the situation calls for without having to adjust the position of the puck to your body first.

By using these tips, you're going to become a stronger offensive threat and create a lot more opportunities in a game.
