I love the third key item - most players won't make the Show. And youth sports is not about climbing a sports ladder or getting to the highest level. It's about letting the child explore their interest, teaching them to work hard, and learning to be a good teammate. The social interaction that will occur when on a team will be invaluable way for the child to develop their personality and character.
